Once you get past the basics, shopping is all about indulgence. IBut where do you draw the line between sifting for a good deal, and being plain greedy? Are your unworn and never going to be worn Chanels at the same level as a stamp enthusiast’s collection? Well, yes and no. Take the Wall Street Journal’s recent piece on high-end consignment stores, for example. The California-based
store, Decadestwo, re-sells designer items—we’re talking Fendi and Manolos here—that have never
been touched by their previous owners. These designer junkies don’t even gain a profit from their original purchase; they’re just clearing out their closets.
