HUBLOT SPIRIT OF BIG BANG SANG BLEU

In the seventh year of its collaboration with Maxime Plescia-Buschi, head of the tattoo studio-born design agency Sang Bleu, Hublot has unveiled a new version of the Spirit of Big Bang. Plescia-Buschi reconsidered the barrel-shaped case that distinguishes the watches from this collection. As a result, the “barrel” lengthened, received faceted edges and, together with the arrows of an extraordinary shape, made it possible to convey the idea of a triangle - one of the figures that dominates the typography of the designer and tattoo artist.

The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Sang Bleu model is presented in several versions: 200 pieces in titanium, 200 in black ceramic, 100 in King Gold. In addition, two models appeared in the series, encrusted with 180 diamonds weighing about 2.4 carats - in titanium and King Gold cases. The case size in all cases is 42 mm.

The Spirit of Big Bang collection, which debuted in 2014, looks very unusual in its new incarnation: yes, the “barrel” is visible, but the geometry of the watch is very different from the usual models. The new items are distinguished by a sense of volume, which is created by many faceted parts with different finishes. The designers even made the sapphire crystal that protects the dial faceted. The bezel and case show lines that can easily be seen in Sang Bleu tattoos. The same geometry is applied to the Sang Bleu hands.

The theme continues with the rotor of the automatic skeletonized movement HUB4700. The caliber consists of 278 parts, has a balance frequency of 36,000 vph and a power reserve of 50 hours.

The 2023 models are the next part of a trilogy created by Hublot and Sang Bleu. The history of the partnership began in 2016, when Maxime Plescia-Buschi transferred lines inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s drawing “The Vitruvian Man” to the Big Bang Sang Bleu watch. In 2019, a series of Sang Bleu II models followed, in which the geometric pattern was transferred to the bezel, hands and bracelet.
